Enterprising Britain is a national competition to find the most enterprising place in the UK - a location where enterprise is creating jobs and transforming communities.

This is the award that celebrates local success. Whether through social cohesion, start-up business support, enterprise skills or championing enterprise in the community, the Enterprising Britain competition recognises and rewards local organisations that have worked together to drive the social and economic transformation of a place.

Enterprising Britain is now in its sixth year and is a key part of the Government's drive to increase entrepreneurial activity in the UK. Enterprise UK runs the competition on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) in partnership with the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and Devolved Administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

NEoN didn't win overall however it was a great privilege to be invited along and to hear about the enterprising goodness that is going on in and around Scotland.......
