Financing for Creative Micro Businesses

A study to assess the possible demand for small, low interest loans (£100-£5000) amongst creative micro enterprises (five people or less) and individuals based in Scotland is currently being conducted by BOP Consulting on behalf of Shetland Arts and London based think-tank Mission Models Money. Should sufficient demand exist, a not-for-profit fund to help finance creative activity in Scotland may be created.

To discover more about the existing need for small loans amongst creative digital media companies we are looking for participants to join workshops taking place on the following dates:

  • Monday 12 July 1-4pm at the Briggait, Glasgow

  • Tuesday 13 July 1-4pm at Dundee Contemporary Arts, Dundee

  • Wednesday 14 July 2-5pm at Hi-Arts, Inverness

Are you are a small creative organisation of five people or less working in the Scottish creative digital sector (games, mobile apps, animation, digital marketing)? Would you be interested in attending one of the above workshops to learn more about the project and contribute your thoughts on what type of demand might exist in your industry?
